You can specialise in either geology or environmental geoscience depending on the courses you choose and career path you want to pursue. When you study a Bachelor of Science with an earth science major you will be learning about the science of the earth itself and the processes that have shaped our landscapes and environment. The earth science major also incorporates fieldwork and laboratory components. You may be able to go on field trips to a variety of destinations throughout the state to gain real-world experience.
