Bachelor of Science in Co Major Statistics

3 Years On Campus Bachelors Program

University of Newcastle

Program Overview

Studying a co-major in statistics within the Bachelor of Science will strengthen your understanding of mathematical and statistical principles that support your other studies in the sciences. This will specifically help with the collection, analysis and presentation of scientific data. UON's statistics co-major is one of only five university programs across the country accredited with the Statistical Society of Australia (SSAI. This accreditation is important as it means the course is recognised across Australia and assures its quality at a national level. A co-major is a stream of study you choose to specialise in within the Bachelor of Science along with another major of your choice. The statistics co-major can only be taken with another science major not including mathematics.
