Criminology explores the social causes and consequences of crime, deviance, and criminal justice issues. You will investigate the social responses to crime and crime prevention, including organised crime, online crime, terrorism, and violence. Courses in Criminology under the Bachelor of Social Science introduce the major concepts in crime, society, security, and the state. When you major in Criminology, you will have the opportunity to study courses in various topics. A particular innovation of our Criminology major lies in its focus on Interdisciplinary research; and, Teaching strength in Youth Studies, Violence Studies, and Justice.
