Program Overview

Human geography has a strong focus on social and community planning, health and health care delivery, population studies, development studies, resource and environmental management, public policy development, urban and regional management and geographic information science. Human geographers collaborate widely, with strong links to anthropologists in development studies, sociologists and other social scientists in social inclusion, and physical geographers in environmental management and climate adaptation. Students can complete this major by distance education (external study). Some units require attendance on campus.
