Program Overview

Visual Art: Imaging Technologies focuses broadly on the creation, mediation, reproduction and analysis of visual imagery in contemporary art practice. Students will develop multidisciplinary skills, which enable traditional processes and materials to be mediated through the use of new technologies. In an environment that encourages creativity, innovation, conceptual thinking, material experimentation and critical inquiry, students are equipped with a range of studio-based skills, new media applications and theoretical knowledge. Courses in art history and theory expand and contextualise studio learning, providing a foundation for critical thinking and fostering contemporary discourse.
