The bachelor s programme in Sociology begins with an Introductory and Orientation Period (STEOP). The Introductory and Orientation Periods (STEOP) of the degree programmes in Political Science, Social and Cultural Anthropology and Sociology consist of a uniform module focusing on social sciences, and a subject-specific module. Following the STEOP, students have to complete compulsory modules on the basics of the discipline, theories, methods, applications, law and economics and communicative and social skills, as well as an elective module
