Program Overview

The curriculum of the course is distributed over eight academic periods. The first two periods are basic; the third period deals with the microorganism-host relationship; the fourth period, the health / disease relationship, when discussing the different etiological agents (viruses, bacteria, fungi and protozoa) of infections in living beings and the laboratory diagnosis of these infections; The fifth period focuses on Environmental Microbiology, covering ecology, biodiversity and pollution. The industrial area is contemplated in the sixth period, and the last two periods, seventh and eighth, are essentially experimental, when students dedicate themselves to the development of a work, which will be presented at the end of the course.

Completed Electronic form; Letter of introduction issued by the Brazilian Diplomatic Mission after approval by Celpe-Bras; Birth or Marriage Certificate (original and copy); School record and Certificate of Completion of high school or equivalent: original and translated (if not in Portuguese); Registration Agreement Term (TCM) and Financial Responsibility Term (TRF): Originals in 2 copies of each term with issue date less than 3 months from the date of registration at UFRJ; Statement by the source of scholarship or school credit of the Government of your country, indicating the amounts and duration of the benefit(original and copy); Physical and mental health certificate issued in the last 90 days; Certificate of approval at Celpe-Bras, when applicable (original and copy); Passport (original and copy); Updated student visa (VITEM-IV) (original and copy); Proof or protocol of registration in the Register of Individuals (CPF); 2 photos size 3x4 cm.
