Program Overview

A Bachelor of Social Work degree can lead to careers in community agencies, hospitals, correctional services, schools, substance abuse programs, children s aid societies, residential centres, homeless services, disability organizations, social planning bodies and advocacy associations. The mission of the School of Social Work is to promote social justice through quality professional education, advocacy, community partnerships and the development and dissemination of knowledge. By combining social work courses with courses in disability studies, psychology, sociology, women s and gender studies, and other disciplines, our program will prepare you for professional registration in the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers and elsewhere.
