The Comprehensive option combines intensive studies in instrument or voice, music history, theory, and ensembles. This major is designed to prepare you for graduate-level study in a more specific field, such as music theory, music history, ethnomusicology, or popular music studies. Spoken English Proficiency: TOEFL: 26 OR IELTS (Academic); 7.5 OR SPEAK Test: 50 OR Six full-time years of education in English in Canada or the equivalent in another country where English is the principal language (excluding ESL): If secondary education is the highest level completed or if combination of secondary and post-secondary education is used; Alberta Grade 12 (or equivalent).
