If your primary interest is to perform and teach piano, then this major is for you. It includes courses specific to piano and voice in literature and pedagogy, and provides a broad-based musical education with advanced studies in music theory and music history. Four years of ensembles (choral/instrumental and chamber) are required. Spoken English Proficiency: TOEFL: 26 OR IELTS (Academic); 7.5 OR SPEAK Test: 50 OR Six full-time years of education in English in Canada or the equivalent in another country where English is the principal language (excluding ESL): If secondary education is the highest level completed or if combination of secondary and post-secondary education is used; Alberta Grade 12 (or equivalent).
