The Drama major, taken as part of a Bachelor of Arts degree, combines theory and practice within a well-rounded liberal arts setting. You will be exposed to every aspect of the theatrical process, including acting, clowning, and improvisation; playwriting, directing, production, and design; and critical analysis and theory. You ll also have the opportunity to pursue your own independent project in research and/or practice.

Augustana's Drama program allows you to gain experience in various aspects of theatre, from acting to stage management to set design and production. Their small, intimate classes provide a highly supportive and respectful environment for students and instructors to get to know each other, push each other, develop, and grow. Each year, the department puts on theatre productions, with auditions open to all Augustana students. Fine arts scholarships are available for students involved in the plays.
