Program Overview

You ll learn all aspects of backstage work, from set design and construction to budgeting, administration, and staffing. You ll also learn the latest in theatre production technologies, such as digital sound, computerized light boards, technical drawing, and scenic flying. As a Technical Production student, you ll have the unique opportunity to collaborate with directors, designers and actors from the University, as well as leading professionals from the local and national theatre scenes, to work on department productions and plays for the Studio Theatre season.

Spoken English Proficiency: TOEFL: 26 OR IELTS (Academic); 7.5 OR SPEAK Test: 50 OR Six full-time years of education in English in Canada or the equivalent in another country where English is the principal language (excluding ESL): If secondary education is the highest level completed or if combination of secondary and post-secondary education is used; Alberta Grade 12 (or equivalent).
