Program Overview

Offered jointly by the Beedie School of Business and the Faculty of Communication, Art and Technology, this interdisciplinary program allows students to graduate with either a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) or a Bachelor of Arts (BA) depending on their chosen pathway. Combining the analytical rigor of business with the strategic and cultural insight of communication, this program is designed for students seeking roles in marketing, advertising, public relations, media, and organizational strategy.

Students gain exposure to both faculties’ core strengths, allowing them to tailor their education to personal interests and career goals. Graduates are equipped with a competitive edge for navigating industries where strategic communication and business acumen intersect.

  • Choose to graduate with a BBA (Beedie) or BA (Communication)

  • Students may apply directly or transfer via Fraser International College (FIC)

  • Business Lower Division (Years 1–2):  Critical Thinking in Business (3), Financial Accounting I (3), Behaviour in Organizations (3)
  • Business Upper Division (Years 3–4): Commercial Law (3), Introduction to Finance (3), Business, Society and Ethics (3), Organization Theory (3)
  • Communication Lower Division (Years 1–2):  Introduction to Communication Studies (3), Creativity and Communication Across Media (3), Communication and Social Change (3)
  • Communication Upper Division (Years 3–4): Consumer Behaviour (3), Marketing Research (3), Introduction to Marketing (3)

Experiential Learning (Research, Projects, Internships etc.)

  • Project-based coursework and industry-focused assignments
