Program Overview

Offered jointly by the Beedie School of Business and the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, this interdisciplinary joint major allows students to earn either a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) or a Bachelor of Arts (BA). The program integrates psychological theory with business principles to help students understand human behavior in organizational contexts.

Students explore how psychological science informs areas such as leadership, decision-making, consumer behavior, and employee engagement, making it ideal for careers where managing people, communication, and workplace dynamics are key.

  • Business Lower Division (Years 1–2): Business, Society and Ethics (3), Introduction to Finance (3), Introduction to Marketing (3), Commercial Law (3)
  • Psychology Lower Division (Years 1–2): Introduction to Psychology I (3), Introduction to Psychology II (3), Introduction to Biological Psychology (3)

Experiential Learning (Research, Projects, Internships etc.)

  • Access to SFU Co-op Program with work placements in HR, public sector, and corporate roles

  • Applied coursework in organizational behavior, recruitment, and employee training

  • Research assistant positions in psychology labs and business case projects
