The Rotman Commerce Accounting Specialist program exists to provide in-depth accounting education to students wishing to pursue careers or graduate studies in accounting. Students enrolled in the specialist must choose one of the two streams: Public Accounting or Financial Reporting and Control. Both streams of the Specialist in Accounting consist of 15 credits out of the 20 credit BCom degree. Public accounting refers to a business that provides accounting services to other firms. Public accountants provide accounting expertise, auditing, and tax services to their clients.
