Program Overview

This program will make you able, depending on the courses chosen, to:record quantities and make estimates from summary and complete plans and specifications;prepare feasibility studies and cost estimates, by budget item and in detail, for all types of construction projects;find unit costs, establish them and maintain productivity and cost databases;ensure the monitoring and financial control of construction projects;prepare bids to respond to calls for tenders.The 15 credits of this short program will be recognized as a block if you continue your training in the Certificate in economics and construction project estimation.

Additional Information & Requirements

Hold a university degree in civil engineering or architecture.Possess the basic knowledge of application software in construction project management and knowledge of the programming methods and languages presented in the course GCI101 Computer science and construction .The person admitted to this program must undergo a diagnostic test on this subject (this is an aptitude test and not a selection test). She must pass the test prescribed by the Department of Construction Engineering with the required grade or, in the event of failure or absence of the test, pass the GCI101 refresher course before the end of the third session.
