On Campus
The Biomedical Engineering (BME) program at the University of Victoria offers a unique combination of engineering concepts with human anatomy and physiology. This produces BME graduates with a strong understanding of mechanical or electrical engineering fundamentals. Students take virtually identical courses up to the end of third year, while focusing on the how these concepts apply to the human body. Engineering is a field that applies the scientific discoveries to the design and creation of things that are safe, reliable and practical, and BME turns this focus toward the healthcare sector.
