The American Sign Language English Interpretation (AEIP) program develops the skills you require to function as an American Sign Language (ASL) English Interpreter. Interpreters work to facilitate interactions between hearing and deaf individuals in a wide variety of settings.
Deaf Studies Certificate, proof of graduation from or enrolment in RRC's ASL and Deaf Studies program with: an average grade of B (70%) in ASL 1 and ASL 2, a minimum grade of B (70%) in ASL 3, a minimum of C+ in Introduction to Linguistics (LING 1200) or Another interpretation program (applicant must meet with the DSP program coordinator to determine DSP equivalence), TOEFL-iBT of L- 24, S- 23, R- 24, W- 27, IELTS - Academic of 7.0 in all, CanTEST of 5.0 in all, CAEL of 70 in all, AEPUCE of 8 in all, Letter of Intent, Diagnostic English Assessment, Portfolio, Interview
