Program Overview

Augustana s Environmental Studies major integrates natural sciences, social sciences, and the humanities into one unique program taken as part of a Bachelor of Arts degree. You will choose to pursue either a General or Outdoor Education stream, granting the opportunity to take an outdoor or experiential education component, including backpacking and canoeing throughout Alberta and the Northwest Territories or studying at our Miquelon Lake Research Station. As a result, you will be equipped to forge a connection to the physical environment, the people, and organisms impacted by our society.

Spoken English Proficiency: TOEFL: 26 OR IELTS (Academic); 7.5 OR SPEAK Test: 50 OR Six full-time years of education in English in Canada or the equivalent in another country where English is the principal language (excluding ESL): If secondary education is the highest level completed or if combination of secondary and post-secondary education is used; Alberta Grade 12 (or equivalent).
