Learn the skills needed to become a peacebuilder with UFV's Bachelor of Arts majoring or minoring in Peace and Conflict Studies, the only degree of its kind west of Manitoba. The program helps you develop a holistic understanding of the dynamics governing human conflict and peacebuilding initiatives. Through simulated exercises, core program courses including three courses offered through the Justice Institute of British Columbia provide you with hands-on skills in negotiation, mediation, conflict transformation, and restorative practices. To apply your analysis and critical-thinking skills, you may choose to complete a capstone project or take part in field work, either locally or abroad.
Must completed the equivalent of Canadian Grade 12 (Form Six or five O-levels plus at least two A-levels) or near-equivalent standing, high school transcript(s) and proof of graduation, post-secondary transcript(s) from all institutions attended, IELTS (Academic) - score of 6.5 or higher with a minimum band score of 6.0, TOEFL of 88 or higher (iBT) with no section below 20, CAEL - score of 70, PTE - score of 61 with 60 in writing, MELAB - score of 85, Cambridge - Certificate of Proficiency in English (CPE) min C, CanTEST - score of 4.5 with a minimum writing score of 4.0
