Book and Media Studies is an interdisciplinary and historical investigation of the role of printing, books and reading in cultures past and present. It covers topics such as manuscript and book production, internet publishing, the press, TV and radio, book illustration, advertising, censorship, and the way readers use and enjoy books. This course introduces you to the history of the written and printed word, and to theories and practices of publishing as well as textual media.
