Program Overview

The Human Biology programs integrate courses from the medical sciences, biological and social sciences, as well as the humanities. The goal of each program is to provide a broad education focused on an area of biological science relevant to humans. Students will receive a solid foundation in life science courses together with insight from the humanities and social sciences. Graduates will be equipped with a broad range of knowledge and skills to go into the job market or pursue further study in research, health sciences, biotechnology, law, education, and administration. Global health is the health of populations in the global context; it has been defined as the area of study, research and practice that places a priority on improving health and achieving equity in health for all people worldwide .
