Program Overview

The collaborative, four-year BScN program will prepare you for a career in nursing at the baccalaureate level. The curriculum is designed on the premise that professional nursing is multidisciplinary in nature. It applies nursing, biological and social sciences as well as the arts to the care of individuals, families, and communities. As inquiring, caring, competent practitioners, nurses serve the needs of society through health promotion, health maintenance, prevention of disease, and care of the sick and dying. Upon successful completion of the program, you will be eligible to write nurse registration examinations and pursue graduate studies. As a nurse, your role may be clinical practitioner, administrator, educator or researcher. You may practise in many settings, from hospital to home, in clinics or industry, to name just a few.
