Program Overview

This program provides you with both the historical background and current research on the Canadian criminal justice system, gives you an overview of crime causation theories, and an understanding of the role of the law and its application in society. You will also gain insight into enduring debates in the justice system such as crime control versus due process, rehabilitation versus punishment, limits of state powers, wrongful convictions, difficulties confronting our Aboriginal peoples, victims rights, and how best to manage youth crime.

High School of Grade 12 English and have a minimum 65% average that includes English and any other course requirements , Completed application form, Transcripts, Two letters of recommendation, Statement of Interest of 500 words maximum, English proficiency - TOEFL iBT score of 86, with a score of at least 20 on the writing and speaking components, or an IELTS score of 6.5.
