Program Overview

The Department of Physics and Space Science offers the following programmes of study: B.Sc. Honours Physics; B.Sc. Honours Space Science; B.Sc. Physics; B.Sc. Space Science and; a B.Sc. Physics and Space Science. Other double majors are possible, for details see the undergraduate advisor in the department.The requirements for both the B.Sc. Honours Physics and B.Sc. Physics or B.Sc. Honours Space Science and B.Sc. Space Science is listed in the tables along with optional courses which are selectively timetabled.Completion of a 42 credit programme, including the core courses for Science, Athletics, and Second Language requirements. This includes a minimum of 20 credits in Physics and Space Science, approved by the department.

Additional Information & Requirements

Hold an Honours Baccalaureate degree from a recognized university with at least B- (70%) average; and Obtain a satisfactory score on the Graduate Management Admissions Test (GMAT).The requirement of writing the GMAT may be waived for an applicant who has an academic file of quality. We will follow the established practise of other Ontario universities in admitting the occasional candidate who has a 3-year rather than a 4-year undergraduate degree provided that this individual is a very high quality applicant and has had other types of educational and leadership exposures of a substantial nature. These candidates may be expected to do additional work - by comparison to a candidate with an Honours Baccalaureate degree. Normally such students will be admitted under Provisional Status.
