Program Overview

UFV's Economics program gives you the option to complete a major or minor as part of a Bachelor of Arts. Not only does the program allow you to develop a firm grounding in modern economic theory and sound knowledge of finance and accounting, but it also helps you hone your capacity for independent thought and deepen your problem-solving and computer skills. By working on real economic problems using real-world data sets, you learn to collect, download and process data; check data quality and consistency; use statistical software to understand and analyze data; and present research results compellingly.

Must completed the equivalent of Canadian Grade 12 (Form Six or five O-levels plus at least two A-levels) or near-equivalent standing, high school transcript(s) and proof of graduation, post-secondary transcript(s) from all institutions attended, IELTS (Academic) - score of 6.5 or higher with a minimum band score of 6.0, TOEFL of 88 or higher (iBT) with no section below 20, CAEL - score of 70, PTE - score of 61 with 60 in writing, MELAB - score of 85, Cambridge - Certificate of Proficiency in English (CPE) min C, CanTEST - score of 4.5 with a minimum writing score of 4.0
