BA Public Finance

The Department of Public Finance aims at training the professionals with good economic theory foundation and solid knowledge of public finance, taxation and public economic policies. The graduates should acquire strong ability in research, management, and decision making, as well as skills in foreign languages and computer. With courses that integrate theory and practice, students should achieve the following knowledge and capabilities after four year study. 1. Basic knowledge of economic theory, familiarity with relevant finance and taxation system and practice, knowledge of the cuting-edge development of public finance; 2. Ability of pursuing further studies, or working in colleges and institutes for teaching and research of public policy and macroeconomic management; 3. Competence in conducting public economic research and policy making in the relevant governmental departments; 4. Capability in providing auditing, tax filing, and asset assessment services in accounting firms, law firms and other agencies; 5. Having the comprehensive quality to manage modern enterprises.
