The Asian-African Department of Language and Literature was established in 2009 by the former Oriental Department of Language and Culture, part of the professional integration. There are two teaching and research rooms: Mongolian Language and Culture Teaching and Research Office and Oriental Language and Literature Teaching and Research Office. There are 6 in-service teachers, including 3 professors, 1 associate professor, 1 assistant professor and 1 lecturer. Attached is a research institute, the Mongolian Studies Research Center of Peking University.
