The Department of Arabic Language and Culture, formerly the Department of Oriental Studies, was founded in 1946 as the earliest Arabic major in Chinese universities. For more than half a century, the department has trained a large number of outstanding talents and accumulated rich experience in Arabic teaching and strong faculty.
