BS Pathology

Department of Pathology adhere to the development model of integrating clinical practice, teaching and scientific research which are interdependent and reinforcing each other. It has built a professional team with a sound structure and outstanding advantages in talents. Professor Zhang Jing, the current Dean of the department, is its academic leader. There are two experts from the National Recruitment Program of Global Expert , and one chief scientist from the 973 Project. Among all the 50 full-time staff, 8 of them are professors, 16 associate professors (including associate chief physicians and associate chief technicians), 26 lecturers and intermediate teaching assistants. More than 95% of the lecturers have doctoral degree, and associate professors and professors all have studied abroad or have expertise in their own research area. The stable team consisting of teaching, scientific research and clinical service has laid a solid foundation for the further development in the Pathology Department.
