European University CyprusThe Pharmacy (MPharm) at European University Cyprus (EUC) is a five-year Integrated Master’s programme for students who want to build a career in pharmacy, healthcare, medicines and pharmaceutical research. It combines pharmaceutical sciences with laboratory work, practical training and clinical learning, helping students develop the knowledge and hands-on skills needed to work confidently as pharmacy professionals.
Curriculum Structure
Year 1: Students begin with the core scientific knowledge needed for pharmaceutical studies through subjects such as General and Inorganic Chemistry, Mathematics for Pharmaceutical Sciences and Introduction to Pharmaceutical Sciences. They also study Molecular Cellular Biology, Anatomy and Physiology and Biostatistics, building a strong foundation in chemistry, biology, health sciences and data analysis.
Year 2: Students move into more specialised areas of pharmacy, studying subjects such as Pharmaceutical Microbiology, Organic Chemistry II, Basic Principles of Immunology and Drug Design and Discovery. They also explore Analytical Chemistry, Pharmacognosy I and Pharmaceutical Biotechnology, gaining a better understanding of medicines, microorganisms, drug development and laboratory analysis.
Year 3: The programme focuses more closely on how medicines behave in the body and how pharmaceutical products are developed and produced. Subjects such as Biopharmaceutics-Pharmacokinetics, Molecular and Biochemical Pharmacology and Pharmaceutical Chemistry I help students understand drug action and behaviour, while Pharmaceutical Technology I introduces them to the preparation and production of medicines.
Year 4: Students build advanced professional knowledge through Pharmacology II, Toxicology and Clinical Pharmacy and Pharmacotherapy. They also study Pharmaceutical Legislation, Deontology and Bioethics and Pharmaceutical Care and Communication, developing the skills needed to work safely and responsibly with patients and healthcare professionals.
Year 5: The final year gives students the opportunity to put their knowledge into practice through professional training and independent research. Students complete a 30-ECTS Pharmacy Integrated Master’s Thesis and 30-ECTS Practical Training, gaining substantial hands-on experience in real pharmacy environments.

High School Leaving Certificate with a minimum grade of 17/20 (or an equivalent qualification such as GCE A Levels or International Baccalaureate) and required subjects in Biology and Chemistry.
Applicants who do not meet the science subject requirement may be considered after successfully completing the University's preparatory Biology and Chemistry courses.
Successfully complete secondary education (high school or equivalent).
