Program Overview

Thus, we see the basic goals mainly in the following two levels. First: to acquaint future teachers of the above-mentioned subjects with the main fields that participate in the constitution of this specific subject that does not have a direct basis in any of the existing scientific fields. Students will thus be introduced to the basics of fields such as political science, sociology, economics, religious studies, philosophy, etc., as well as to selected problems and topics that are currently being solved in the given fields, and which form an important context or in some cases even necessary a starting framework for understanding the role and function of the social sciences in contemporary society. Secondly: to provide sufficient theoretical as well as value background for such a concept of school subjects civic education or the basics of social sciences
