Program Overview

The Bachelor's degree in Geography with a focus on education at the 2nd level of elementary school forms the starting point in preparing students for studies in the subsequent master's degree in general, respectively. specifically in the specialization of teaching geography for primary schools. The subjects of the field are set with the aim of providing students with a comprehensive set of knowledge about the landscape as a geographical space. The main part of the study is the acquisition of theoretical and partly practical skills contained in the sub-disciplines of physical and social geography. Their application at the regional level is primarily ensured by the teaching of the geography of the Czech Republic. Part of the study is the teaching of the basics of planetary geography, cartography and an overview of the development and methodology of geography as a scientific discipline
