The aim of the Basics of Mechanical Engineering study program is the education of experts in the field of engineering, technology and materials with the aim of obtaining a broad professional base that will enable them to continue studying a subsequent master's degree program in the field of mechanical engineering both at FSI BUT in Brno and at other technical universities in the Czech Republic and abroad. After completing this bachelor's program, however, they can also immediately go into practice, where they can apply themselves, for example, in technical functions in the development, construction and technological workplaces of companies, in engineering companies, services and trade, with the fact that they will only complete their specialization in practice

"The bachelor's field of ""Mechanical Engineering"" is primarily intended as the most effective preparation for higher studies (master's degree). Graduates of the field will acquire a broad professional foundation that will enable them to continue studying a field in a two-year follow-up master's study program in the field of mechanical engineering."
