Bachelors in English Language and Literature with a focus on secondary school education

The study program focuses on the preparation of teachers of English language and literature for secondary schools. It includes thorough preparation in language (to level C1 knowledge), linguistics (acquaintance with and mastery of all essential fields such as phonetics, morphology, syntax, lexicology, etc.), literary (history of key Anglophone literatures - British and American), cultural (cultural studies of Anglophone countries ) and finally the development of the pedagogical competences of the future teacher (familiarization with essential issues of pedagogy, or didactics and teacher psychology, e.g. problems of communication in school, development of motivation to study, understanding of developmental processes in teenage students, etc.). To fully qualify as a teacher, a bachelor's degree graduate can continue with a subsequent master's degree.
