Ethnology. Ethnography. Ethnography. Do these terms sound familiar, but don't know the difference between them Although the names have changed over the years, it is still one and the same field of science. Contemporary ethnology grows out of the branched historical roots of ethnographic and ethnographic research of previous decades and centuries. However, its current focus is quite broad. After completing the program, you can focus on traditional folk culture in its historical forms. You can also focus on research into contemporary society , its everyday life, manifestations of popular culture, ethnic processes or issues of identity . Studying ethnology will lead you to know and understand historical contextsand contemporary functions of a number of cultural phenomena that surround us. At the same time, it will help you to see the person behind them as a creative personality and a bearer of tradition.
