Program Overview

"When studying the Midwifery program, you will gain advanced knowledge not only in all areas of care for a woman during pregnancy, childbirth and the postpartum period, but also in the area of prevention, protection and health care throughout a woman's life. Teaching emphasizes a holistic bio-psycho-socio-spiritual approach in midwifery, it also focuses on community care. Students regularly participate in regional conferences, organized in Pilsen by the professional association of midwives of the Pilsen Region, or the festival for professional and lay public ""Woman-Mother's Journey"", organized by the Department of Nursing and Midwifery."
