Program Overview

The Bachelor's study program Bohemian Studies is intended for those interested in studying the Czech language and Czech literature. The content of the study includes disciplines focused on Czech literary history in the context of European and world literature, literary theoretical disciplines reflecting the latest theoretical and methodological aspects of the field, and linguistic subjects that focus on the contemporary language and its development. The subject disciplines are expanded to include subjects oriented to philosophy, aesthetics or the culture of spoken and written expression. Students can thus find their field preferences and profile their focus in subsequent master's fields or in employment.
