Program Overview

The study program provides a comprehensive education in the analytical use of geographic information systems (GIS) and remote sensing (RPS) for the protection and creation of the environment, with special attention to the highly topical issues of water and drought in the landscape and the protection of biodiversity in conditions of global change. The graduate will be employed in state and private institutions focused on the environment, especially as a spatial data analyst or as a clerk/lower manager (e.g. Nature and Landscape Protection Agency of the Czech Republic, CENIA, Ministry of the Environment, Ministry of Agriculture and departmental organizations, National Parks Administration , regional and municipal authorities, etc.).
