The Civil Engineering programme covers a broad field of study. To get familiar with the field, you spend semester 1 and 2 doing umbrella courses. An umbrella course is a large, interdisciplinary course based on a real project. While you work on the project, you receive tuition that gives you the skills necessary to complete the project. You therefore learn to work together in groups to solve real engineering tasks from day one
