Curriculum structure

Year 1
In your first year, you will build a strong foundation in engineering and construction by studying subjects such as Introduction to Building Technology, Building Materials, Geotechnics 1, Building Physics 1, Basics of CAD, and Concrete Construction 1. You will also develop your mathematical and analytical skills through courses including Algebra, Geometry and Linear Algebra, Differential Calculus, and Integral Calculus, preparing you for more advanced engineering studies.

Year 2
The second year focuses on understanding how buildings are designed and constructed. You will study modules such as Conceptual Design of the Structures, Foundation Engineering, Structural Systems in Buildings, Concrete Technology, Basics of Project Management, Strength of Materials, and Surveying Techniques in Construction Site, helping you develop practical skills in structural design, construction planning, and project coordination.

Year 3

Year 4
In your final year, you will specialise further through courses such as Advanced Studies in Structural Engineering, Structural Fire Design, Advanced Design of Timber Structures, Lifecycle Thinking in Building Technology, and Design of Foundation Structures. You will also complete a 20-week work placement and an industry-focused thesis, giving you valuable professional experience before graduation.
