Curriculum Structure

Year 1
Dive right into the essentials of design with hands-on immersion in culture, tools, and methodologies—think sketching, graphic composition, and computer-aided design (Adobe Suite 2D, Rhino & Keyshot 3D), plus model-making and prototyping. You'll also explore sustainability principles and design history, bringing it all together in dedicated design studios led by pro instructors where your first projects come to life. It's the perfect foundation to spark your creativity while grounding you in sustainable practices from day one.

Year 2
Projects ramp up in complexity, sharpening all your skills as you pick an elective like Sustainable Product Design, Sustainable Interior Design, or Sustainable Fashion & Apparel Design to dive deeper into your passion. You'll question manufacturability, production processes, sustainable materials, and product lifecycles amid climate realities, crafting a unique design voice. This year builds your interdisciplinary edge, blending electives with the program's core sustainable focus for standout expertise.

Year 3
Cap it off with two major individual projects—one per semester—in design studios, fueled by design user research and social impact modules for a full-spectrum sustainable project from research and ideation to prototyping and jury presentation. An optional international exchange adds global flair. You'll emerge with a portfolio that screams professional readiness, perfectly tuned for innovation leadership.

Focus areas: Product design, interior design, systems & interactions, mobility, apparel & fashion, graphic design—all centered on sustainable ecosystems for social values and responsible consumption.

Learning outcomes: Master design processes from ideation to prototyping; apply sustainability across disciplines; develop user research and social impact skills; create interdisciplinary projects addressing climate challenges.

Professional alignment (accreditation): Prepares you as an Assistant Designer in Sustainable Innovation, with pathways to Master's in Sustainable Design Innovation or MSc Entrepreneurship & Sustainable Design (double degree with Skema Business School); focuses on eco-design consulting, trend analysis, and more.
