Bachelors in European and International Studies

3 Years On Campus Bachelors Program

University of Auvergne

Program Overview

"European and International Studies degreeis a unique License in France which is divided into 6 standard courses: Franco-German Studies, Franco-Spanish Studies, Franco-Italian Studies, European Studies in English, Franco-German Book Professions and Franco-Portuguese Studies. In the 1st year, these courses are made up of 60% of courses relating to the chosen course ("major" discipline) and 40% of courses relating to the "minor" discipline. This percentage increases in the 2nd year to 70% for the ""major"" and 30% for the ""minor"", which constitutes a progressive specialization. Finally, in the 3rd year, 100% of the courses will be taken as a "major". This training therefore offers the possibility of reorienting oneself until the end of the 2nd year of the License. The 3rd year of the Bachelor's degree (or the 2nd year in Franco-Portuguese Studies) takes place entirely in a foreign university regardless of the course chosen. In each course, the 3rd year is accompanied by a compulsory internship to be carried out in the sector relating to interculturality in its broadest sense (translation, tourism, heritage, intercultural mediation, for example). Recruitment in this License is done on file and has a limited number of places per course."
