BA Art History and Aesthetics

The art science at the HBK Braunschweig is characterized by its integration into the overall structure of an art college. It sees itself as a bridge between theory and practice and between the different temporal perspectives. The reference to contemporary art is central, but takes place on a solid art historical basis and with knowledge of the historical and systematic prerequisites of the subject. In lectures, seminars and exercises, the students acquire the basic skills of scientific work and historical-critical thinking and are sensitized to the relationship between art and language
