This course offers a range of modules which expose students to coding, creating databases, creating web documents, analysing data, and working with cloud services. Through practical and authentic exercise students experience key areas such as programming (Java), databases (MySQL), web authoring (HTML, CSS) and productivity tools (Office suite). Students also assess ethics the computing and IT project management and have access to resources provided by vendors such as Oracle, Cisco and Amazon, providing the opportunity to go for certifications and badges that bolster employability. Arden s foundation year degree courses are designed for students who do not meet the standard entry requirements, or if it s been a while since studying and they need to refresh their research, essay writing, and numeracy skills. Once the foundation year is completed, students progress the first year of the full degree course. Studying with Arden University in Berlin also allows students to work in Germany whilst studying, and graduates can apply for an 18-month working visa upon completing their course.
To be eligible to study this degree, we need to see that you have:
At least 3 x GCSEs or equivalent that are less than 3 years old
IELTS 6.0 (no less than 5.5 in any element) or TOEFL iBT 60 - 78; or equivalent. We also accept a minimum score of 95 on the DuoLingo English language test.
Non-standard entry to the course may be considered based on your professional work experience.
