Program Overview

Informatics is the science of systematic information processing using computers. As a basic science, it deals with the investigation and classification of problems with regard to their calculability. As an engineering science, computer science enables the mechanical simulation of real processes by designing mathematical machines that can be used to transfer data, store it and process it automatically through algorithms. As an auxiliary science of other disciplines, it maps objects into abstract structures and processes into algorithms.Computer science at the University of Osnabr ck offers a scientifically sound, basic and method-oriented and at the same time highly practical and application-oriented study program and is therefore a particularly suitable core or minor subject. The Institute for Computer Science is characterized by intensive and individual support.
