Program Overview

Many technical products today are equipped to a large extent with electrotechnical and control technology components. The importance of control software is increasing rapidly and technical products must be planned from the beginning as an integrated system, always considering the interaction between software and hardware in a co-design concept. Therefore, the requirement for engineers to consider the system as a whole and to apply an interdisciplinary way of thinking is increasing. Cooperation between the engineering fields of mechanical engineering, electrical engineering and computer science is absolutely essential; from which the need for an interdisciplinary qualification in the three mentioned disciplines with a focus on interdisciplinary system development arises.
