Bachelors in General Engineering ShipBuilding

42 Months On Campus Bachelors Program

Hamburg University of Technology

Program Overview

"Around 95% of world trade is now conducted on the waterways and so ships are more than just a ""means of transport"", but the backbone of the world economy. For example, there is just as much know-how in a container ship as in an Airbus. Various key technologies work together on its development. The construction of modern ship types such as passenger and ro/ro ships, container ships, mega yachts or naval ships requires a high degree of adaptability and quick action due to the competition. Engineers with broad basic knowledge and professional competence are in demand. The specialization in shipbuilding in the AIW course is ideal for this."
