Program Overview

In the bachelor's degree in materials chemistry, students are able to follow the path from molecule to material in all facets - synthesis, characterization and production. The training includes all chemical core subjects. In addition, numerous modules related to materials from physics, engineering or construction chemistry are offered in the compulsory elective area. The course therefore follows an interdisciplinary approach. The students acquire networked knowledge and are made familiar with other specialist cultures, especially in the field of engineering. Subjects related to materials from four different faculties of the BTU are involved in the implementation of this concept, with chemistry being complementary to these areas
