Program Overview

The bachelor's program Meteorology is a study of physics with a special focus on the atmosphere. The degree program is funded by the Meteorological Institute, which is part of the Cluster of Excellence Integrated Climate System Analysis and Prediction (CliSAP). Through close cooperation with the Max Planck Institute for Meteorology and the German Climate Computing Center, the program prepares students for highly interesting and up-to-date fields of activity (meteorology, climate and environmental research) and provides basic knowledge in mathematics, physics and data processing. The contact between teachers and students is intensive and the program offers many opportunities to integrate a semester or internship in training in the USA, Australia or China.
